The Peach Sheriff’s Office handled around 3600 criminal complaints in 2019, a marked improvement over the 5700 plus cases reported in 2018.

Of the complaints filed in 2019, almost 2400 were against larceny-theft while burglaries brought in over 570 cases, and more than 330 reports were filed against assaults.

From 1999 to 2008, crime rates in Peach County increased by one hundred percent. During that same period, almost 6,200 crimes were reported within the county, with nearly 1,000 of those crimes being violent crimes, including seven murders. Most of the crimes reported in Peach County were related to theft or burglary.
